This site was created from an idea and a curiosity. I was intrigued when I found out that those of a very different condition have so many commonalities that there was no chance that this was a coincidence. I wanted to know more about the other conditions and what people have gone through and where they are at now. Certainly as a Klinefelter’s, I had gone through my own challenges and tribulations but what came out of it was a sense of self. This is a positive emotion, because having a sense of self allows one to be encouraging and supportive of the various people we encounter.

GendersInX is a friendly non judgemental site, we accept those of different minds and thoughts, especially seek those who need information about themselves and those around us. This is especially important if you are a parent of a child who will go through much of what you will see on this site. It can be easier, really it can. The key to it all is education, knowledge and support.

Here we talk about our conditions, that being 5 Alpha Reductase, Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome, Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia, Klinefelter’s Syndrome and Turner’s Syndrome. Not only do we talk about it, we interact with one another and support each other because believe it or not, we have a lot in common.

I created this site but in no way am I holding up this site, the people herein are doing that and well, I may add. To read the experiences of another and to be supported by the same, is an experience you can only feel, no description would do it justice.

I could go into the various medical journals and read up on the various conditions and I do that from time to time. Rather, I get more of a sense of humanity when I read it freshly written from one that experienced it. There is a certain warmness about it, a human touch that cannot be duplicated.

I ask that you keep an open mind, let the society’s constraints go and be amongst those who actually do care and are empathic to other’s feelings. There is nothing replacing a story from a mother of her wonderful child, a person who was born different and lived their life differently and there is nothing like human companionship, a community of hope, trust and support. Yes, it does exist by making it that way ourselves.

I look forward to getting to know you and your challenges or how you yourself see it, you will find another who has seen it that way as well. You will be respected as a person no matter how you present yourself. I also ask that you give other’s the same benefit in the way they present themselves.
