In a powerful statement, the Federal Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety, Syed Imran Ahmad Shah, vowed to safeguard the educational dreams of underprivileged youth in Pakistan. On February 12th, during a visit to the National University of Modern Languages (NUML), he revealed the government's ambitious plan to support talented students facing financial struggles.

In the following period, from July 2025 to February 2026, over PKR 200 million was distributed among 5,519 students, showcasing the government's dedication to education.

The minister also drew attention to the Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal's Medical Assistance Programme, which provides support to students battling serious illnesses. The financial assistance ceiling has been raised to PKR 1.5 million per patient, ensuring timely medical treatment.
The Rector of NUML, Major General (Retd.) Shahid Mahmood Kiyani, highlighted the university's collaboration with Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal, which guarantees at least 250 educational scholarships annually. This partnership is a testament to the government's holistic approach to social welfare.
