EXCLUSIVE: Loewe Appoints Théodore Pellerin as Its Latest Brand Ambassador
As Loewe broadens its creative family, the designers behind the brand have chosen Théodore Pellerin as its first male ambassador. The French-Canadian actor, who will attend the brand’s upcoming show, marks a new milestone for Loewe as Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez prepare their inaugural coed presentation in Paris during Fashion Week on March 6.
Pellerin, 28, rose to prominence with his 2018 breakthrough in Family First and is currently in Rome filming Cry to Heaven, Tom Ford’s adaptation centered on a nobleman and a castrato. His recent projects include Nicole Garcia’s Milo with Marion Cotillard, and he has earned accolades for roles in Alex Russell’s Lurker and Pauline Loquès’ debut feature Nino. His collaborations span acclaimed directors such as Ari Aster, Eliza Hittman, Xavier Dolan, and Sophie Dupuis, in addition to work in television and theater.
In 2024, Pellerin played Jacques de Bascher, the former partner of Karl Lagerfeld, in Becoming Karl Lagerfeld. He also appeared in the Apple TV+ miniseries Franklin and led the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival film Solo, portraying a young Montreal drag queen.
Loewe praised Pellerin’s willingness to experiment and his ability to move fluidly between independent cinema and larger productions.
“Acting, like craftsmanship, truly shines when the rigorous effort behind it dissolves and a sense of playfulness emerges,” say McCollough and Hernandez in a statement released first to WWD. “These are the very qualities we see in Théodore’s approach to bringing characters to life.”
Reflecting on the partnership, Pellerin described becoming a Loewe ambassador as a matter of alignment rather than mere representation.
“I’ve always sought to collaborate with people I genuinely admire and with whom there’s a shared sensibility. Loewe feels like a space where intelligence and curiosity come first,” he noted. “There’s a heightened attention to detail, the craftsmanship, and the time required—elements that resonate deeply with me as an actor.”
